FLEX submission to the 2024 Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report

February 2024

This submission outlines recent developments in the UK’s approach to the prevention of human trafficking and forced labour and FLEX’s ongoing call for a Single Enforcement Body (SEB) to be introducded.

The submission also covers the impact of post-Brexit immigration policy on labour exploitation and barriers for survivors of trafficking and modern slavery accessing support via the NRM.

It also covers the issues of access to legal representation and the lack of labour market enforcement mechanisms to address labour abuses and the impact of immigration detention on victims of human trafficking.
