This submission was made by the Taskforce on Survivors of Trafficking in Immigration Detention (Detention Taskforce) to the ICIBI. It raises significant concerns about the lack of consultation before the role of the Immigration Enforcement Competent Authority (IECA) was introduced and the trend of an increased number of survivors of trafficking being held in immigration detention.
