In this submission to the Independent Chief Inspector of Borders and Immigration’s (ICIBI) call for evidence, FLEX explores how the UK’s modern slavery provisions have been undermined by anti-immigration policies and enforcement activity which prevents victims accessing vital support services.

The submission discusses vulnerabilities caused by measures including the ‘illegal working offence’ and restrictive work visas and closes with recommendations that should be considered for the inspection to improve support for victims of modern slavery and trafficking.
