This submission by the Labour Exploitation Advisory Group (LEAG) to the Joint Committee on Human Rights’ call for evidence on the human rights of asylum seekers focuses on its recognition that current Government policies regarding people seeking asylum are actively driving individuals towards, and exacerbating, labour abuse and exploitation and calls on the Government to adopt a preventative and person-centred approach.
