This joint letter was written and coordinated by FLEX and signed by 10 others, and sent to the Home Secretary on 18 December 2023. It raises key concerns from expert academics and charities about the high risks and increasing reports of migrant labour exploitation in the UK’s adult social care sector.

This letter accompanied a new Joint Position Paper on Preventing Exploitation in the Adult Social Care Sector, which goes into detail about specific concerns and the latest research, and makes policy recommendations for preventing and addressing exploitation in the sector.
