Key civil society organisations and trade unions have announced the launch of a new coalition to actively support and engage with migrant seasonal workers in the UK’s agricultural sector.

The new ‘Seasonal Worker Interest Group’ has been launched to address urgent action needed in response to growing reports of poor treatment of workers on the Seasonal Worker Visa scheme, and aims to secure improvements to the scheme which will safeguard all migrant workers.

The Group will also serve as a forum for dialogue between those working on this issue and a platform for engagement with Government, industry bodies and the wider public.
